Hupkes began operations in 1918 specializing in Oak and Beech timber.
Other hardwoods were added later and since that time Hupkes has
grown to be a leading hardwood supplier specializing in durable wood
types for clients all over the world. Our wood finds application in
a wide variety of exterior applications including roads and bridges,
hydraulic works, piers, promenades, walkways and prefabricated
structures ready for site installation. As one of few mills capable
of milling from round logs we have the capability to deliver
products to exact clients specified dimensions on short notice.
The capabilities of our saw mill are complimented by an extensive
planing and machining capability enabling us to deliver products
planed smooth to exact dimensions, small and large, up to 35 x 35 cm
in cross-section and up to 8 meters in length. Additionally we can
apply chamfers, bevels, rounded corners, rabbets, grooves, notches,
mortise and tenon joints and virtually any other detail.
Over the years Hupkes has earned a reputation for excellence in
the areas of timber bridges, hydraulic lock gates, marine fender
systems, sound barriers and marine floats with deliveries all

All of the timber products made and delivered by Hupkes are only
obtained from forests that are responsibly and sustainably
managed. Hupkes ensures that its sources of timber are legal,
well identified and traceable according to Dutch national and
international timber trade requirements. Hupkes will, whenever
possible, give preference to the use of timber that is certified
as originating from forests that are identified by an
independent international organization as being responsibly and
